The short version

This website uses a small amount of browser storage to work properly. It does not run analytics or advertising trackers unless you agree to them. You can change your mind at any time using the button at the bottom of this page.

Do we need your consent?

Australia does not have a dedicated cookie consent law in the way the European Union does. Where cookies collect personal information, the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles apply. If you visit from the European Union or the United Kingdom, their rules require consent before non-essential cookies are set.

We ask for consent before setting anything non-essential, for everyone, regardless of where you are. Essential storage does not require consent because the site cannot function without it.

What we store

Both of these are stored by your own browser and are readable only by this website. Neither is a tracking cookie, and neither is transmitted to a third party.

Analytics (only with your consent)

We intend to add website analytics so we can see which pages are useful and where people get stuck. No analytics service is currently active on this site. When one is added, it will only load after you select "Accept analytics", and this table will be updated with the specific cookie names, the provider and their retention periods before it goes live.

Advertising

We do not currently run advertising or social media pixels on this website. If that changes, they will be consent-gated in the same way and listed here first.

Third party content

This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers to download the font files. That request includes your IP address. Google Fonts does not set cookies when serving fonts. No other third party content, embeds, maps, chat widgets or video players are loaded on this site.

Our site is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and reliability purposes. That is described in our Privacy Policy.

Browser signals we respect

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat that as declining analytics. In that case we do not show you the cookie banner at all and no non-essential storage is set.
